GRAIN IMAGE READER AND GRAIN QUALITY DETERMINING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain image reader and a grain quality determining device using the same capable of improving grain quality determining precision.;SOLUTION: The color scanner 18 serving as the grain quality determining device comprises a scanner main body 20 and a cover 22. A specimen bed 26 and a scanner 32 are arranged on the main body 20, and a light source 40 and an oblique light louver 42 on the cover 22. In this design, two types of images (a transmitted/reflected light image and a reflected light image) are obtained of the grains 28. Since the grains 28 are rated for quality on the basis of two types of images, determining precision is improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
