PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid system capable of charging with a simple and low-cost capacitor provided at the input side of an inverter that drives a driving motor on cranking a hybrid car. PSOLUTION: In a hybrid system 100, when cranking the hybrid car, a starter 23 starts the engine 22, which rotates the motor 21, which then generates electric power. A controller 30 receives an output voltage V1 of a DC power source 10 and a voltage V2 between both terminals of a capacitor 12 with voltage sensors 11, 13 respectively, and, when a difference between the voltage V1 and the voltage V2 is larger than prescribed, controls the inverter 14 in such a way as to charge the capacitor 12 with the electric power generated by the driving motor 21.
