VACCINE ADJUVANT TO WHICH IL-15 GENE IS APPLIED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vaccine adjuvant characterized by containing IL-15 gene.;SOLUTION: It is assumed that IL-15 not only acts as a factor for proliferating NK cells, NKT cells and γδ type intestinal epithelial lymphocytes which bear an early induction reaction but also plays an important role for the maintenance of memory type CD8+T cells. Killer CD8+memory T cells play an important role for tuberculous infection protection, and the proliferation and maintenance of the CD8+killer cells are most important for a tuberculous infection protection mechanism. On the basis of the backgrounds, it is aimed to induce strong tubercule bacillus specific CD8+T cells capable of being maintained for a long period by the combination of the BCG vaccine with IL-15. The effective vaccine adjuvant for enhancing the effect of the vaccine is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
