PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eraser (rubber)-usable water base ink composition for a ball point pen which can obtain a smooth feeling of writing when filled in a ball point pen and, simultaneously, satisfies both of such erasability that a handwriting to be obtained by writing on paper with the use of the ink composition can readily be erased with an eraser and such writing maintenance properties that the above handwriting cannot be eliminated by simply rubbing the paper with a finger or paper, and a ball point pen having the same built therein. ;SOLUTION: The eraser-usable water base ink composition for a ball point pen comprises coloring resin granules containing a pigment and a fatty acid metal salt, tacky resin granules, water, a water-soluble polar solvent, and a lubricant with a particle distribution of the above coloring resin granules and tacky resin granules such that ≥80 wt.% both of the granules are present in the range of 2 μm to 10 μm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
