PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the constitution of a developing device by simulating the behavior of magnetic powder by a method of predicting the behavior of the magnetic powder and a method of optimizing the constitution of the developing device.;SOLUTION: The behavior of the magnetic powder 3 is predicted by combining the purely dynamic motion analysis by a particle element method and the magnetic motion analysis by a magnetic field analysis method occurring in magnetic developer carrying members 1 and 2 relating to the magnetic powder 3 constituting the developer in the developing device having at least two magnetic developer carrying members 1 and 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
