PROGRAM WRITING SYSTEM OF VEHICLE MOUNTED ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program writing system of a vehicle mounted electronic control unit (hereinafter, referred to as ECU) capable of reducing a necessary memory resource. SOLUTION: A system for writing a control program is suitable to a type of a vehicle installed with an ECU after installing in the vehicle the ECU having a common hardware applicable to a plurality of types of vehicles. A program writing apparatus comprises an object library 15 for storing a plurality of types of objects as program modules for respective functions by which individual control programs suitable to respective types of vehicles can be composed of, identifies a type of the vehicle installed with the ECU, selects objects suitable to the identified type of the vehicle from the object library 15, and writes to the ECU a control program created by combining the selected objects.
