An a-frame tripod truss for a scaffold for mounting a platform adjacent a structure having tripod metallic frame segments and removable cross bracing providing a stand-alone, three point support with two ground supports and one wall support, each having extension devices for providing a stable footing on uneven surface. The tripod trusses provide a flat-folding scaffold, with hinged, pivoting connections that permit collapsing the unit, in combination with a shrubbery shelter and staging platform.
