A method for conditional routing a request from a user to access a Web page

A connection is established between a user's computer (UPC) and an access system (AccSys) comprising a server (AS) for receiving and assigning IP addresses, an authentication unit (AAA), and an access-control node (PRY) with a memory (MEM). Identification data (UID, PW) are sent by the user (UPC) to the server (AS) and from the latter to the authentication unit (AAA) for comparison with stored data. An IP address is assigned to the user and a user code including this IP address is entered in the memory (MEM) of the control node (PRY). When the user requests access to an Internet page, the server (AS) forwards the request to the control node (PRY) which examines the memory (MEM); if the user code is in the memory, a connection is established between the user's computer (UPC) and a node (PS) containing a predetermined Internet page, the latter is sent to the user's computer (UPC), and the user's code is cancelled from the memory (MEM); if the user code is not in the memory, a connection is established between the user's computer (UPC) and a node (OS) containing the Internet page requested and the latter is sent to the user. A predetermined page is thus presented to users as soon as they establish a connection with the access system, irrespective of the page actually requested. IMAGE
