A composition designed for the sustained and con-trolled release of medicamentous peptide substances ha-ving the formula (I) :Ac-D-Nal-D-pClPhe-R3-Ser-Tyr-D-Cit-Leu-Arg-Pro-D-Ala-NH2wherein R3 is D-Pal or D-Trp. The composition is obtai-ned in the form of microspheres of a biodegradablepolymeric material incorporating a water-insoluble saltof the peptide of formula (I).
