A catalyst active in the preparation ofalternating olefin/carbon monoxide (CO) copolymers isconstituted by:(a) Pd(O2CNEt2)2(NHEt2)2 supported on a solid carrierpreferably constituted by hydroxylated silica,(b) an either mono- or bidentate ligand containing oneor two nitrogen or phosphorous atoms capable oflinking to Pd atom by dative bonds,(c) NOBF4.Disclosed are the preparation of the catalyst andthe use of said catalyst in alternated copolymerizationof ethylene (C2) and/or other olefins with carbonmonoxide (CO).
