In constructing a manhole structure (1) in which a manhole (2) and a pipe (3)are interconnected, first, a manhole structure water-stop flexible joint (4)is prepared. Such manhole structure water-stop flexible joint (4) has a rigidcylindrical body (5) and a cylindrical flexible body (6), the cylindricalflexible body (6) comprising a cover portion (6a) fixed to the outer peripheryof the pipe (3), a fixed portion (6b) fixed to the manhole (2), and aconnecting portion (6c) disposed in a space between the cylindrical body andthe pipe, positioned inside the cylindrical body, and connecting the coverportion (6a) and fixed portion (6b), the fixed portion (6b) being fixed to theouter periphery of the cylindrical body (5), the connecting portion (6c) beingformed of an elastic body that accommodates the displacement between themanhole (2) and pipe (3). Next, such manhole structure water-stop flexiblejoint (4) is installed on the outer periphery of the pipe (3), the coverportion (6a) of the cylindrical flexible body (6) is fixed to the outerperiphery of the pipe (3), and a manhole filler is pored around the outerperiphery of the fixed portion (6b).
