Provided is a preventive or remedy for diseases caused by a cerebrovasculardisturbance, which comprises as an effective ingredient a cyclohexenone long-chain alcoholic compound represented by the following formula (1): [wherein,R1, R2 and R3 each independently represents H or CH3 and X represents a C10-28alkylene or alkenylene group]. The present invention makes it possible toeffectively protect cerebral neurocytes from cerebrovascular disturbances suchas cerebral infarction.
