A fusion furnace (10) and a gasification fusion furnace, the fusion furnacecomprising combustion chambers (11, 12, 13) for melting ash and a slag fallingport (17) for discharging molten slag (20) produced by melting the ash,wherein the slag falling port (17) is formed of a replaceable refractorymaterial, and the peripheral end part of the slag falling port (17) is formedhigher on the upstream side of a gas flow than on the downstream side; thegasification fusion furnace comprising a fluidized gasification furnace andprimary, secondary, and tertiary combustion chambers (11, 12, 13), wherein aslag falling port part block is formed on the lowest part of the secondarycombustion chamber.
