SYSTEM FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND TRAFFIC PASSING AT INTERSECTIONS

PURPOSE: A traffic signal and vehicle passage system at a crossroad is provided, which achieves a passage rate of from minimum 45% up to maximum 75% as to vehicles in all directions at a four-way crossroad without constructing an underpass or an overpass. CONSTITUTION: At a four-way crossroad where roads(A,B,C,D) in four directions are crossed, a straight vehicle on the road(A) repeats its travelling and stop by a signal(S1), and a left-turn vehicle repeats its travelling and stop by a signal(S2), and a walker crosses a crosswalk according to the signal(S1). When the signal(S2) is turned off, a signal(S3) is turned on and a left-turn vehicle turns left at the road(D). When the signals(S1,S3) are turned on, signals(S4,S5,S6) are turned on, and thus a straight vehicle at the road(D) travels straight, and a straight vehicle and a left-turn vehicle at the road(B) travel straight, and the walker crosses crosswalks(P11,P12) according to the signals(S4,S5,S6). When the signal(S3) is turned on, signals(S7,S8) are turned on, and thus a left-turn vehicle and a straight vehicle at the road(C) turn right, and these vehicles travel according to signals(S100,S200).
