Providing a Route Passing Through Traffic Signals Effectively: A Study of the Stopping Pattern Extraction Model at Corridor Intersections with Traffic Signals

When developing new driver services to provide a route passing through traffic signals effectively, the behavior of stopping at, starting at and passing through the signals is an important element involved in traveling. In this paper, by performing outlier removal by data cleansing the travel history information for this behavior, and analysis by grouping the inflows and outflows path-by-path, and clustering the time elapsed near each traffic signal, an extraction model of stopping pattern of signals is investigated. As a result, the presence of a stopping pattern of signals is confirmed, and it is shown that it is possible to extract it.
