A porous geological formation (1) with electrolytic fluid(s) is geophysically prospected by stimulating a region of interest (90) of the formation where the electrolytic fluid is found with an excitation signal corresponding to energy of first type, detecting a response signal, and electrically polarizing the region of interest to strengthen the response signal relative to what it would be in the absence of polarization. An Independent claim is also included for a device for geophysical prospecting of a porous geological formation with electrolytic fluid(s) comprising an excitation device (4) to stimulate a region of interest of the formation, a response signal detection device, and a polarization device (6) to polarize the region of interest electrically.
