Sanding handtool and support for the tool

The manual sanding hand tool (C) includes a shaped support element (1,S) with a tensioning wheel (9) at one end. The tensioning wheel has cut-outs (11) and a flat side (10) that can be rotated so that it is on the outer side of the support to allow the band of sandpaper (B) to be wrapped around the support. The tensioning wheel can then be rotated so that the circular periphery of the wheel stretches the band to hold it firmly on the support while sanding. An Independent claim is included for a support for use in the above sanding tool.
