PURPOSE: A spinning reel having a device for momentarily switching a spool brake power is provided to capture fish without snapping fishing lines. CONSTITUTION: The spinning reel having a device for momentarily switching a spool brake power comprises a switching lever(40) whose center portion is hinge-coupled through a reel main body and whose both ends are rotated in the opposed directions to each other; a kicking lever(60) whose center portion is hinge-coupled and whose one end is joint-rotated with one end of the switching lever; at least a returning lever (50) mounted in a driving gear(10) for rotating with the driving gear to hit the other end of the kicking lever located in the rotated area, the returning lever supported to the driving gear by an elastic member; a metal(90) extended to the backside of a spool axis(7), on whose peripheral surface is formed a side cutting part; a crutch(80) coupled removably to the side cutting part of the metal; and a crutch link(70) connected to the end of the switching lever for transferring the crutch up and down according to the rotation of the switching lever.
