PURPOSE: Mechanical retention and chemical bonding of a diamond wheel for cutting process are improved by using a bronze alloy powder of Cu-10%Sn, thereby increasing lifespan of the diamond wheel. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a diamond wheel for cutting process using a powder bonding material of bronze alloy, the bronze alloy material added with diamond is sintered for 60 minutes in pressure of 10-40MPa and temperature of 700-900 degree under a vacuum atmosphere. The bronze powder comprises a main component of Cu-10wt%Sn. The volume percent of added diamond is about 3-15Vol%. Added amount of nickel, chrome, and cobalt are less than 10mass%.
