PURPOSE: A welding structure of cam shaft front end piece is provided in which welding ends of a pipe shaped shaft and a round bar shaped front end piece are faced each other so as to be welded by frictional heat thereof. CONSTITUTION: In a cam shaft(1) made by welding a welding end of shaft(1a) on which a plurality of cams(2) are installed to a welding end of front end piece(1b), the welding structure of cam shaft front end piece is characterized in that welding is done by frictional heat generated between the inserting end(11) of the front end piece and the inner diameter of the shaft and between respective welding ends of the front end piece and the shaft by forming an inserting end having outer diameter corresponding to inner diameter of the shaft on the welding end of the front end piece, inserting the inserting end into inner diameter of the welding end, and rotating the front end piece and shaft in a high speed in the state that the welding ends of the front end piece(1b) and shaft(1a) are faced each other.
