Powder of lactic acid bacteria having improved physiological characteristics and method of preparing the same

PURPOSE: Lactic acid bacteria powder having improved physiological properties and a preparation process thereof are provided. The lactic acid bacteria are coated with a polymer and encapsulated in a metal alginate bead, so that its physiological properties can be improved. CONSTITUTION: The lactic acid bacteria powder consists of lactic acid bacteria, a polymer and metal alginate salt and is prepared by coating lactic acid bacteria with a polymer and encapsulating them into a metal alginate bead, wherein the lactic acid bacteria is at least one kind of bacteria selected from the group consisting of Streptococcus sp., Lactococcus sp., Enterococcus sp., Lactobacillus sp., Pediococcus sp., Leuconostoc sp., Weissella sp. and Bifidobacterium sp.; the polymer is selected from the group consisting of gelatin, polyethyleneglycol, starch and dextran; and the metal salt is at least one salt selected from the group consisting of calcium salt, potassium salt and strontium.
