Medium composition for the detection of biogenic amine-producing bacteria

PURPOSE: Provided is a culture medium for selecting a strain producing biogenic amine more efficiently than a usual decarboxylated agar medium and enhancing growth of a strain. CONSTITUTION: A culture medium composition comprises 1-0.005wt.% tryptone, 1-0.005% of yeast extract, 2-0.05wt.% of (NH4)2SO4, 1-0.1wt.% of NaCl, 1-0.01wt.% of glucose, 0.1-0.001wt.% of MgSO47H2O, 0.1-0.0001wt.% of MnSO44H20, 0.1-0.0001wt.% of FeSO47H2O, 1-0.01wt.% of Twin 80, 0.05-0.001wt.% of cresol red, 1-5wt.% of agar, 0.5-5wt.% of amino acid and distilled water.
