METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A REPRODUCTION OF PORTABLE CD PLAYER

PURPOSE: A portable compact disc player is provided to reproduce data by applying a section identification number in a unit of word, sentence or page to an optical disc. CONSTITUTION: The portable compact disc player comprises a main body(102) having a disc loading portion(104), and a sub body(106) having an operating panel(108) and a display panel(110), the sub body being hingedly connected to one end of the main body. The operating panel includes 0 to 9 number keys and a number of functional keys. The number keys and the functional keys are given with an identification number in a unit of word, sentence or page, respectively, so that a desired section is selectively reproduced or is repeatedly reproduced, when the optical disc is reproduced. A driving control system installed in the portable compact disc player includes a key signal producing block, a control block, a memory block, a digital signal processing block, a decoding block, an audio signal processing block, and a display block.
