PURPOSE: A control method of an active suspension for a vehicle is provided to minimize lowering of control performance at failure by shutting off a control signal associated with a failed sensor with detecting the failed sensor in wrong operation. CONSTITUTION: A suspension arm is installed in a wheel, and actuators are installed in the suspension arms to adjust the height of a vehicle body. Each PCV is connected to each actuator to regulate flow of oil, and coupled to an MPCV. The oil pump is connected to the MPCV, and turned on and off in operating and stopping the engine. A control unit(30) is connected to the PCV and the MPCV to transmit operation command and connected to vehicle height sensors installed in the suspension arms. The control unit turns off the PCV mounted in the suspension arm having the very vehicle height sensor in not transmitting the signal from the vehicle height sensor, and turns on the MPCV.
