PURPOSE: A tension adjuster for a cable of a parking brake is provided to improve braking performance and stability, and to cut down manufacturing expenses by keeping balance with distributing force to left and right wheels through the cable. CONSTITUTION: A tension adjusting device for a parking brake cable is composed of an arm member(18) integrally turned in turning an operating lever; a support bracket(31) spaced from the arm member; a cable rod(32) penetrating the support bracket and the arm member; an adjusting nut(33) thread-connected to the end of the cable rod; a guide bracket(34) mounted in the support bracket; and a cable(35) fitted around the guide bracket. Braking performance and stability are improved with keeping balance of force distributed to left and right wheels through the cable.
