Controling vehicle drive unit involves forming torque value in second working range from torque demand not used to drive vehicle using only magnitude exceeding first torque value
The method involves detecting the degree of operation of a control element and deriving a drive unit torque demand value. A first torque value (ML) can be defined in a first working range by comparing the revolution rate with a demand value and a second value (MS) can be defined in a second range from a torque demand not used to drive the vehicle. Only the magnitude of the second value that exceeds that of the first is taken into account.
