Whirlpool bath has a jet (6) for injection of a water-air mixture that is connected to the pressure side of a pump (8), the suction side of which is connected via a suction line (9) beneath the bath floor to an outlet armature (10). The outlet of the armature is connected to an outlet line (3). Below the inlet of the suction line to the armature there is a closing element that acts to close off the outlet line and acts as a safety valve.
