Production of soft solder having a first eutectic or almost eutectic composition comprises preparing and mixing three different powdered metal alloys. The first metal alloy contains at least 0.2 wt.% metals contained in soft solder and the two further metal alloys contain at least 0.2 wt.% metals contained in soft solder. Production of a soft solder having a first eutectic or almost eutectic composition comprises preparing three different powdered metal alloys, in which the first metal alloy of the three alloys contains at least 0.2 wt.% metals contained in the soft solder and two further metal alloys of the three alloys contain at least 0.2 wt.% metals contained in the soft solder. The metal alloys are prepared in composition and amount so that the first eutectic or almost eutectic composition is produced and the soft solder is produced by mixing 5-95 wt.% of a first metal alloy with 95-5 wt.% of the two further metal alloys. Preferred Features: A soft solder of composition Sn63Pb36.8Sb0.2 is produced from a first metal alloy of composition Sn63Pb36.6Sb0.4 and a further metal alloy of composition Sn10Pb90 and a further metal alloy of composition Sn90Pb10.
