The mechanical coupling uses mechanical coupling elements (6.1,6.2,6.3) incorporated in the adjacent walls (1) of the neighbouring switchgear fields, secured together in a defined end position by at least one tensioning screw (70). The coupling elements are provided by a rotationally symmetrical threaded sleeve, a rotationally symmetrical bolt and a rotationally symmetrical hollow cylindrical adapter sleeve. At least 2 mechanical couplings can be provided between the switchgear fields with an electrical coupling positioned between them.
