The fuse element (A) is made of thin metal plate containing copper, copper alloy or aluminum. The element consists of narrow portions (1a,1b) formed between pair of connection portions (3). The narrow portions are arc-shaped, and arranged such that the respective convex portions oppose each other with predetermined gap, to form a fusing portion (2) constituting parallel conductive path. An Independent claim is also included for fuse unit.
