The reflector for electromagnetic radiation may be made in a variety of different configurations and is designed to be effective in the range of visible wavelengths and in the radio range. A typical reflector (1) may have a flat front surface with a regular array of alternate hemispherical depressions (2) and hemispherical projections (3) to reflect radio waves. The depressions and projections give the required reflection characteristics in the radio region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The substrate (4) of the reflector may be made of metal or ceramic material. Alternate versions may have transparent layers with grooves or corner cubes at the back to reflect visible light.
