A hairdryer comprises a body 10 that includes a connection portion 12, a handle 20 that includes a casing 21 and a connecting body 30 arranged between the two. The connecting body is formed from a hollowed cylinder 31 with a first connecting member 32 at one end which engages with an inner portion 23 of the front end portion 22 of the handle. A second connecting member 33 is formed at the other end of cylinder 31 and engages with an end portion 15 of the connection portion 12. A third connecting member 34, between the first and second, fits between the handle and body ends and has a resilient portion (39, fig 4) which engages with slots 26 formed in the front end portion 22 of the handle. The handle can be rotated to several positions determined by the arrangement of slots 26 and rotation is limited by a positioning piece 38 on connecting member 34 engaging with positioning blocks 25 mounted on front portion 22 of the handle.
