A method for estimating the wear life of a tire

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the abrasion life of a tire can be predicted accurately in a short time. ;SOLUTION: Firstly, the abrasion resistance index G1 of a tire to be subjected to abrasion life prediction is measured by performing run-horn abrasion tests (step 100), and then, the frictional energy in each state where a toe angle is imparted, where a lateral force is imparted, where a driving force is imparted, and where a braking force is imparted while the tire makes free rolling is measured (step 102). Then the expected abrasion life value T1 of the tire is calculated by using the obtained abrasion resistance index G1 and each frictional energy (step 104), and the abrasion life of the tire is predicted based on the expected abrasion life value T1 (step 106).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
