A method for grafting arboreal plants. A method for grafting arboreal plants in which the two stems to be grafted are stripped in the area of the graft to remove the bark, without damaging the underlying wood. They are then placed upright together and bound as closely as possible with a plastic ligature and a quantity of a grafting solution cambionite (1.5 ml) is injected under the ligature and into the site of the grafting. One month later the stem of the graft is cut through by about a third, preferably using a well-greased saw and, after a further month, the remaining two thirds are cut through.
