The semi-automatic method of underground train operation uses three trains on the same line loop. Each train skips every fourth station it passes, using different initial stations to skip. Each station has an illuminated display panel indicating the number of stops to come for the train arriving at the station. The trains are spaced equally along the line with the station display panels having indicators to show the loop in front of and behind the train at the station.
