Means for attachment of a structure to a ground anchor

A connection assembly for attaching a structure such as a steel mast , or the like, to a ground anchor such as a plurality of screwpiles (13) driven into the ground each with its upper end disposed at or in the region of ground level. The assembly comprises a threaded rod (16) extending upwardly from a plate (14) welded to the upper end of each screw pile, a connection box at each corner of a rectangular foundation frame to be positioned over each threaded rod (16) and a C-plate (20) supported within the connection box and having a radial slot (21) such that by rotation of the C-plate the slot engages the threaded rod (16) irrespective of slight mis-alignment thereof, and a nut to be tightened down onto the C-plate (20) to fix the structure to each screw pile. Each connection box (12) may then be filled with a cementitious grout such that the threaded rod (16), the C-plate (20) and the nut (22) become embedded within the grouting material .
