PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the situation that part of the illumination light emitted from a light source to an objective lens side is guided in the form of leak light into a viewing visual field and degrades the S/N (Signal-to-Noise) ratio of a fluorescent image.;SOLUTION: The fluorescent microscope has the objective lens 21 and is provided with imaging means 21 and 23 for forming the fluorescent image of a specimen 20 marked by a fluorescent substance, vertical illumination means 13 to 18 for illuminating the specimen 20 and beam attenuating means 14 for attenuating the light intensity near an optical axis 20a of the objective lens 21 out of the incident light for illumination on the objective lens 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
