PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive inspection method hardly causing thiol smell, acting at a low concentration and hardly providing unpleasant smell by using an organosulfur reagent, and to provide an inspection kit.;SOLUTION: The beetle luciferase-detecting reagent kit contains the organosulfur reagent having an atomic sequence of sulfur atom-carbon atom-sulfur atom in the chemical structure, luciferin, adenosine triphosphate and a magnesium ion, and further contains a coenzyme A. The method for detecting the beetle luciferase comprises a step 1 for mixing an aqueous solution containing the organosulfur reagent having the atomic sequence of sulfur atom-carbon atom-sulfur atom in the chemical structure, the luciferin, the adenosine triphosphate and the magnesium ion, with a sample containing the beetle luciferase to provide a mixed liquid, and a step 2 for measuring luminescence from the mixed liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
