A separation circuit 12 for extracting a variety of information from the vertical blanking period of the analog video signal and a detection circuit 19 for detecting the address of a user data area in the packet of the buffer circuit 15 are provided. The compositing circuit 16 composites various types of information extracted by the separation circuit 12 in the packet user data area in accordance with the detected signal from the detection circuit 19.
