SWOLLEN FORMED DIET FOOD AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a diet food which satisfies a sense of hunger by intake, simultaneously exhibits diet effect and makes an eater take nutrients indispensable for maintenance of physical condition irrespective of obesity. PSOLUTION: The swollen formed diet food is obtained by mixing grains or beans with a material having diet effect and swelling the mixture. The grains may be one or more kinds selected from unpolished rice, polished rice, millet, foxtail millet, barnyard millet, etc., and the material having diet effect may be one or more kinds selected from chitosan, Citrus aurantium, Garcinia cambogia, Salacia chinensis and Psyllium seed coat. The grains may be roasted and ground. The method for producing the swollen formed diet food comprises uniformly mixing the grains or beans with the material having diet effect, swelling the mixture by an extruder and forming the swollen material into a fixed shape.
