METHOD FOR EFFICIENTLY PROLIFERATING MORNING GLORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an efficient tissue culture of a morning glory by a liquid medium to be maintained over a year, and to enable a large amount of regenerated plant bodies by a solid medium to be obtained by proliferating adventive embryos.;SOLUTION: A callus is formed by culturing an immature embryo of the morning glory (Ipomoea nil) in a liquid medium, and a green callus is selected in the formed calluses to induce and proliferate the adventive embryo-forming calluses. The proliferated adventive embryo-forming calluses are cultured in a solid medium to emerge a large amount of the adventive embryos, and the emerged adventive embryos are rooted and acclimated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
