PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hypoid gear preventing the lapping interference while preventing the shortening of an engagement length.;SOLUTION: This hypoid gear has a slant face-shaped flank 16 formed by chamfering a corner part where a tooth crest 13, a projecting tooth flank 14 and a toe part end face 15 are joined.
