PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a critical current measuring device of a critical current, a critical current measuring method and a critical current evaluation method measuring the critical current of a superconductor under a stable temperature, estimating the critical current value in a temperature except for the measured temperature and simply evaluating the critical current characteristics of the whole length of a long and high-temperature superconducting cable.;SOLUTION: The inside of a heat insulating vessel 2 is filled with refrigerants 3a and 3b under three importances. The high-temperature superconducting cable 5 whose both ends are supported to a connecting part 8 is disposed in the refrigerant 3a. The critical current is measured by an ammeter of a power supply part while monitoring the temperature of the refrigerant 3a by a temperature measuring element 4. The critical current of the high-temperature superconducting cable 5 is thus measured under the three importances of the temperature stable refrigerants 3a and 3b so as to provide a stable temperature distribution of the high-temperature superconducting cable 5 and highly precisely measure the critical current of the superconductor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
