PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting wire critical current measuring apparatus and a critical current measuring method, capable of measuring a critical current value of superconducting wire in a short time.;SOLUTION: A critical current measuring apparatus 1 of a superconducting wire 20 comprises a critical current measuring unit 2 and a Hall element unit 6. The critical current measuring unit 2 has contact with both ends of a measurement target section 3 extended along a longitudinal direction X of the superconducting wire 20 and measures electric voltage so as to measure a critical current value of the measurement target section 3.
