PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining quenched hardiness with high accuracy in a piercing step, and to provide a device therefor.;SOLUTION: This determining method comprises, in the piercing step of boring a hole in a press-formed and quenched article, first, making the device recognize a magnitude of a shearing load for boring the hole, and subsequently making the device determine whether the quenched hardness is sufficient or not from the magnitude of the shearing load.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
