PURPOSE: To improve oxygen barrier properties appropriate for wrapping sausage that is heat treated after filled. ;CONSTITUTION: In a coextruded biaxially oriented tubular sausage casing made of four or more layers, among which at least one inner layer and at least one outer layer are substantially made of aliphatic polyamide, at least one layer substantially made of ethylene/vinyl alcohol(EVOH) copolymer exists between the inner and outer polyamide layers.
