PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contention detection system and a method therefor which efficiently specify contention occurring place by aiming that characteristic event patterns occur when contention occurs, concerning contention of shared resource of a multi-thread processor which is constituted by a plurality of CPUs.;SOLUTION: This contention detection system of a shared resource in a multi-thread processor is constituted by an event acquiring means which acquires events at executing of commands, a count means by which a counter counts up when the acquired events match registered event patterns registered beforehand, and an interruption means which interrupts a CPU which occurs the events when the value of the counter becomes a stated value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
