PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance capillary array device, by stabilizing electrophoresis and by eliminating deterioration of gel due to the temperature rise in a load header part.;SOLUTION: This capillary array device employs the load header, having a structure where respective capillaries are inserted in a hollow electrode and the gaps between the hollow electrode and the capillaries are filled with a heat conductive medium selected from either a solid substance or a liquid substance a gel-like substance. Further, the axis of the hollow electrode and the axes of the capillaries are arranged coaxially, and the capillaries and the hollow electrode are set in a non-contact state so that it can uniformly radiate heat from the capillaries. Furthermore, the temperature of the capillaries during the operation of the capillary device is held in the temperature range of the room temperature to 80°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
