PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a breaking damage of a capillary in a capillary electrophoretic device for separation-analyzing a sample such as a DNA and a protein.;SOLUTION: The breaking damage is avoided when preparing or using a capillary array, by using a plastic as a material for holding the capillary, because the electrode is more flexible than the capillary. The damage is not generated thereby, even when an excessive load is applied in insertion of the capillary into the hollow electrode causing both to be rubbed each other in the preparation of the capillary array.
