PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide system for a vision-impaired person based on the local movement prediction, which predicts the motion of the vision-impaired person and can safely and surely guide the vision-impaired person without inputting the destination in a station with a platform and a passage which a train approaches. ;SOLUTION: This guide system for a vision-impaired person based on local movement prediction comprises a voice recognition means to recognize voice, a processor 4 with a navigation function to find out a destination based on the information from guide information, an information means which prepares the guide information of the destination of predicted movement and synthesizes the voice on the found destination of predicted movement including the guide information, a portable terminal device with a receiver 5 for vision-impaired person, a guide stick 10 for vision-impaired person with tag reader 11 and transmitter 12, and tags 20, 30, 40 storing location information distributed on prescribed positions to the destination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
